Stephen Karp leads Karp Financial Strategies, a full service financial services firm focusing on the business marketplace, as well as playing the role of financial architect to business owners, corporate executives, professionals, trusted advisors, and employees. Stephen brings over significant business experience in various senior managerial capacities to help his clients to understand and address their personal and organizational financial needs and to help them achieve their financial goals and manage their wealth.
As a result, Stephen Karp has strives to become a valued resource and “go to” person for leading organizations and individuals. Stephen Karp's works hard to be knowledgeable listener, a strategic thinker, and an innovative evaluator of problems and opportunities. He develops creative strategies to address tough business issues, implementing those innovations while managing the resulting operations.
After receiving a BS degree from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and a MBA in finance from New York University, Stephen worked in the corporate arena for ABC News, CBS, Ryder System, and Spherion. He held several high-level positions in the human resources, finance, sales, and support operations functions. Interspersed between his corporate leadership jobs, Stephen has been a key advisor to businesses helping his clients write business plans, develop forecasts, design incentive plans, improve their human resource processes, forge strategic partnerships, and craft total rewards packages.
Stephen demonstrated successes as Senior Managing Consultant for Mullin Consulting, a leading executive benefits consulting firm and later with his own firm, Karp Financial Strategies. Karp Financial Strategies provides comprehensive financial planning, wealth management, and risk management solutions to its clients. In addition, the firm operates a forward thinking, yet practical unit serving small and medium-sized businesses seeking operational excellence, value creation, and exit planning.
Stephen has presented to congressional staff on employee benefits and has published articles in national periodicals on topics such as deferred compensation, long-term disability, benefits funding, health benefits, and 529 plans. After earning a Certificate in Retirement Planning from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. He holds the FINRA Series 66 and 7 registrations and is a licensed insurance agent. Stephen and his family have lived in South Florida for the past 33 years.
